1. Include clinical locations and skills (blood transfusions, trach care, wound care, CVC care, etc)

2. If you have non-healthcare experience, showcase skills that are transferrable to nursing (leadership, communication, customer service, safety, etc)

3. Keep it to one page, average length of time spent by recruiters looking at resumes is only 8 seconds.

4. If you do not have your BSN, then have a plan for getting it, and put it on your resume

5. If you used computer charting in your clinicals, include the systems names on your resume

6. If your GPA is 3.5 or higher, put it on your resume     

7. Be sure to include nursing organizations (NSNA)
